New Letter Sets and Old Postal Stamps

Some purchases I've made this week :)

Seven new letter sets!! :D I couldn't resist when I saw them because they were so CHEAP! And it's not every day when you find cute letter pads! Usually the ones I can find here in Finland are obviously designed for children and there is no way that I would write anything onto a childish princess/doggie/kitty shame-causing piece of paper. I must say, I cannot stand most of the Disney stuffs at all. Why can't they sell letter sets that are designed for us a bit more mature snail mailers as well? I am always jealous of my Korean penpal, she has such precious and stylish letter papers. 

How cute right?!♥ All kind of cartoon hamsters have stolen my heart!! 

I made an amazing discovery at the flea market today! A small bag full of old postal stamps! They cost only 1,50€. I've started collecting stamps, so I simply couldn't leave the flea market without them.

 The bag included postal stamps from Canada, Europe, Japan, etc. The stamps above are all old Finnish stamps. I've been searching Finnish stamps lately, and now I got a few of them :) 

I also got my first stamps from France and Sweden!

However, these two stamps were the most special ones; stamps from Lebanon! 

Lastly, I discovered that the Finnish handcraft materials selling shop Tiimari have expanded their selection and started to sell decorative tapes. I have been waiting for this moment for years(before I have found only some crappy Mickey Mouse tapes that weren't cute at all), and now when I would be finally able to buy something like this in Finland, they cost four damn euros! What they think I am? A millionaire? I guess none of those rolls will ever find themselves in my hands.. I am way too mingy and poor~ (づ￣3￣)づ

My Singaporean penpal sent me a very adorable little packet a while ago (。´▽`。)

Kirjekaverini Singaporesta lähetti vähän aikaa sitten kivan pikkupaketin minulle!

Inside the batman-packet were these! 

Lepakkomiespaketista paljastui tämmöistä.

Sentimental Circus elephant(which happens to be my favorite kawaii/Japanese character) pouch and sweets. Those green wrapped candies tasted like green tea!! 

Sentimental Circus elepantti (se on mun lemppari japanilainen hahmo :3) pussukka ja herkkuja. Nuo vihreäkääreiset karkit olivat vihreän teen makuisia. Oikeastaan inhoan vihreää teetä, eli karkit eivät olleet kovin mieluinen makuelämys :D Annoin ne mun iskälle veljille ja kaverille niin ne eivät menneet hukkaan.

Letter from U.S.A.

This is from my new penpal who lives in Israel! I'm so excited to be penpalling with her (≧◡≦)

Unfortunately her very first letter to me had got wet during the journey to Finland, so I have a hard time trying to make sense of what she wrote to me σ(ＴεＴ

Then a couple of cards~

This is from Australia! (I had a private swap with an Australian lady) I asked her if she could send me a kangaroo card, and she did send me one!

These cards are already a couple of weeks old... From Lithuania (I guess, I don't remember any more sorry m(_ _)m) and Russia (once again) via Postcrossing.

This is a card from Philippines from the amazing Katrina! We once had a private swap in the past, and now she wanted to send me another card again to expand my post card collection (because I hadn't a card from Philippines yet) She is a kind soul indeed! Thank you so much ( ･_･)♡

Last but definitely not least, is a Chinese New Year card from my Singaporean penpal. This was a surprise card and I was so excited to see it. I like it very much!!!

Kaikenlaista kivaa (only in Finnish)

Postilaatikon suunnalla ei ole ollut viime aikoina kovin aktiivista liikennettä, joten blogikin on jäänyt vähemmälle huomiolle. Perjantaina olen menossa kotiin pitkästä aikaa ja siellä on kuulemma muutama kortti ja kirje odottamassa minua, onneksi! 

Laiton viikko pari sitten yhteistilauksen kaverini kanssa Postiin ja nyt on taas mukava kasa postimerkkejä liimattavaksi postiin! Mun lempparimerkkejä on tällä hetkellä noi Syysuni- ja Rock and Pop -merkit. Muumimerkkejä ostin ulkomaille menevää postia varten.

Tilausta tehdessä meinasi hermot mennä kerran jos toisenkin jos kolmannenkin ja neljännenkin nettikaupan sivuston epätoimivuuden vuoksi!!! Laittaisivat sivunsa kuntoon ennenkuin alkavat kaupata tuotteita siellä D:< Periaattessa ne sivut on ihan ok, mutta jos yrittää laittaa postimerkkejä välilehtiin, niin eihän siitä tule sitten enää mitään. Haluaisin kunnolla vertailla postimerkkivaihtoehtoja ja päättää rauhassa, mitä ostan, mutta nyt se oli mahdotonta. Aina kun laitoin yksittäisiä postimerkkejä välilehtiin, niin ne muuttuivat aina edelliseksi postimerkiksi, mitä olin katsonut (mulla oli varmaan 10 sivullista Juhani Aho postimerkkejä!) Ärsyttävää, kun joutuu jokaista postimerkkiä, jota haluaa tarkastella tarkemmin klikata yksitellen, sitten painaa takaisin siihen valikkosivuun ja taas valita uusi merkki mitä klikata. (en osaa selittää tätä asiaa, ihme jos itsekään tajuan mitä selitän enää :D) Onko jollakulla muulla ollut sama ongelma vai johtuuko se vain mun nettiselaimen vammaisuudesta? :D  Ärsyynnyin niin paljon tosta pienestä puutteesta, että hermot meni ja en jaksanut tutkailla merkkejä kunnolla ja tilasin vahingossa muutamia 2. luokan postimerkkejä D: Kai niitäkin voi käyttää...

Postin nettisivut ei ainakaan viittä tähteä ansaitsisi jos tämä olisi oikeaoppinen arvostelu!

Jonkin aikaa sitten ostin pari tuollaista CD-postikorttia Tiimarista. Toisessa kortissa on ainakin Jean Sibeliusta, mutta tuon toisen kortin sisällöstä en tiedä... täytynee kuunnella läpi varmuuden vuoksi ennenkuin lähettää jollekulle. Ajattelin, että nämä saattaisivat olla aika kivoja lähettää kirjekaverille, monet ovat useasti kyseneet suomalaisesta musiikista ja hämmästelleet suomen kieltä.. näitä en varmaan raaski Postcrossingissa käyttää ellei sitten joku satu profiilissaan mainitsemaan jotakin sellaista, joka antaisi hyvän syyn lähettää tälläisen sille. 

Kortit maksoivat vain 1€/kpl. Normihinta n. 5€, joka aika riistohinta mielestäni. Ei nää kortit nyt ihan niiiin hienoja ole. 

Loppuun kuva Veikkauksen postikuorista, jotka löysin huoltoasemalta :D Nappasin muutaman(niin monta kuin kehtasin kassaneidin ja takana olevan jonon kotkankatseiden alla) mukaan, koska näyttävät ihan kivoilta. Ei näissä varmaan Suomen sisällä mitään kehtaa lähettää, mutta ulkomaille minun mielestäni ihan hyviä, kunhan tuohon "________ olet aika ässä ystäväksi" -tekstin päälle askartelee kivan osoitetarran!
