Parhaalta ja pitkäaikaisimmalta kirjekaveriltani Koreasta. Hän lähetti minulle herkkuja, kirjeen ja myöhäisen syntymäpäivälahjan, kauniin kaulakorun! 

This is going to my private swap partner. She asked me to send her Moomin stamps. I also sent her a few Moomin cards as an extra as she told Moomin cards cannot be bought in Germany.

Yksityisswappiparilleni Saksaan. Hän pyysi minua lähettämään Muumi-postimerkkejä. Lähetin hänelle niiden mukana myös muutama Muumi-postikorttia, koska hän kertoi, ettei niitä saa Saksasta.

I decided that the "Unwanted Flat Things" -swap that I hosted was my last swap where I allow newbies to join. I'm so tired of and angry at all the flakers that gets in no matter what!! I truly did my very best to prevent flakers, but it seems my best effort wasn't enough :( I'm feeling sad for my decision, but no can do. I would love to help newbies get started at Swap-bot, but I cannot afford it any longer. Even the newbies, who look reliable and have even completed a few swaps with good ratings, are possible flakers, I've witnessed it by my own eyes. It's unfortunate that a few spoiled apples ruin the fun for good ones too. :(

Päätin, että vastikään hostaamani "Unwanted Flat Things" -swap oli vihoviimeinen swappi, johon annan uutukaisten lliityä mukaan. Swäppääjät, jotka huijaavat vaihdoissa, eivätkä koskaan lähetä pareilleen mitään, pistää vihaksi ja olen kyllästynyt heihin! Nytkin tein kaikkeni, jotta yksikään epäilyttävä ei pääsisi livahtamaan mukaan vaihtoon, mutta silti heitä tuli!! Vaikka kaikkeni tein, niin silti se ei ollut tarpeeksi :( Tuntuu ikävältä tehdä tälläinen päätös, mutta muuta ei ole tehtävissä. Minusta on mukavaa auttaa uusia swappääjiä pääsemään vauhtiin Swap-botissa, mutta nyt mulla ei ole siihen enää varaa. Nekin uutukaiset, jotka vaikuttavat luotettavilta, ja ovat jopa olleet jo muutamissa vaihdoissa mukana, ovat mahdollisia huijareita, olen saanut kokea sen ja nähdä omilla silmilläni. Tosi surkeaa, että noi muutamat mädät omenat pilaavat myös muiden ilon :/

(What are sticker bags?: The idea of sticker bag is to put in some stickers and send it to your friend who take out stickers and put in new ones and send it to next person and so on. Everyone sign the bag and when it has gained enough signatures, it will be sent back to the maker! It's like sticker exchanging^^ )

YLE:lle palautetta kirjeenvaihdosta

Post and Chilling -blogin merkinnän innoistamana lähetin YLE:lle lyhyen mutta kohtalaisen ytimekkään palautteen koskien kirjeenvaihtoa, ja sen luultua epäsuosiota. Minua alkoi suorastaan ärsyttää, kun YLE:n kirjeenvaihtoon liittyvässä artikkelissa väitettiin kirjeenvaihdon olevan lähinnä lasten hommaa ja ettei sitä oikeastaan kukaan muu enää harrasta muuta kuin mummot, ja hekin viimeeksi sota-ajalla :D 

Vaikka YLE:n artikkeli onkin kirjoitettu jo viime kuun puolella, mielestäni sana pitäisi saada kiirimään sinne päin kirjeenvaihdon oikeasta maineesta ja asemasta Suomessa. Aloitettuani blogini kirjoittamisen olen huomannut, että meitä suomalaisia kirjeenvaihtajia on monia, mutta meillä on huono asema, ja kaikki luulevat että tämä harrastus on kuollut ja kuopattu jo vuosikymmen sitten! 

Kaupoissa on vain pölyt jäljellä hyllyillä, missä ennenvanhaan oli tapana olla pinot ihania kirjepaperisettejä. Jos saisimme sanan kuuluviin, ehkä muutkin innostuisivat ehkä taas kirjoittamaan kirjeitä(tässä olisi hyvä harrastus nykyajan elektroniikkaa ja muita sähköisiä vempeleitä palvoville lapsille!), tai jos ei innostu, niin ainakin Tiimari ynnä muut paperitarvikkeita myyvät liikkeet huomaisivat, että kirjeseteille ja muille tarvikkeille on vielä menekkiä! Kauppiaat väittävät, että kirjepaperille ei ole tarpeeksi kysyntää, mutta vähän vaikea sitä kysyntää onkin kasvattaa, kun kuluttajilla ei ole mitä ostaa (ja jos kaupasta jotain löytyykin, niin ne ovat usein lapsellisia ja liian pieniä meidän vanhempien tarpeille).

Tässä vielä palautteeni, jonka lähetin YLE:lle. Valitettavasti saatoin, hajamielinen kun olen, unohtaa kirjoittaa sähköpostiosoitteeni kokonaan siihen tarkoitettuun kentään xD Kirjoitin ehkä vain alkuosan, mutta loppu taisi unohtua kun aloin häärätä muuta :D Eli jos YLE tahtoisi jotenkin kommentoida palautettani, en tiedä onko se edes mahdollista.. :D

Haluaisin tuoda, ilmi, että toisin kuin uutisessa "Kirjepaperi, kuka sitä enää käyttää" (14.2.13) väitetään kirjeenvaihdon ja kirjepaperin tarpeen hävinneen, on meitä vielä ainakin kourallinen, jotka tätä vanhanaikaista touhua harrastavat! Tiedän muutamia suomalaisia minun ikäisiäni nuoria tyttöjä, jotka rakastavat kirjeenvaihtoa. Mielestäni paras tunne koko päivänä on se, kun kävelee postilaatikolle ja siellä odottaa ihkaoikea kirje. Minulla on ollut paljon ulkomaalaisia kirjekavereita jo useamman vuoden ajan. Kirjeenvaihto on avartanut mieltäni, olen oppinut paljon eri kulttuureista, maista ja ihmisistä, sekä oppinut englantia paljon enemmän mitä koskaan koulussa.
Ainut asia, joka harrastustoimintaa haittaa, on kirjepapereiden huono tarjonta. Kuten artikkelissanne mainitaan, tarjonta on suunnattu lähinnä lapsille. Mielestäni kirjeenvaihtoa pitäisi mainostaa taikka markkinoida jotenkin, jotta nuoret saisivat kipinän kirjoittaa!
Minulla on myös blogi(http://snailsnailsnail3.blogspot.fi/), jossa kirjoitan harrastuksestani, ja jonka kautta olen oppinut tuntemaan toisia suomalaisia (ja ulkomaalaisia) etanapostin puolesta liputtavia. 

Mitä mieltä olette palautteestani ja muutenkin kaikesta mitä kirjoitin yllä? Onko turhaa vai oletko samaa mieltä kanssani?

It was my first time to receive mail from Slovenia, so I was really delighted! I got so many nice stamps from new countries.

 Really awesome Chinese New Year stamps on the envelope! I am never going to let them go haha!

My First Parcel Ever From CANADA^^

I joined "Random Envie Swap" on Swap-bot and my partner was from Canada thus I got my first parcel ever from there! It's such a great feeling when you get mail from a country where you haven't got anything yet, isn't it?

 This is what I got; dozens of different kind of mail related things(address labels, post-it notes, stamps, envelopes, priority labels,,etc.!)!! She really had read my profile and sent many things that are just my style!

I even got my first post cards from Canada!

Three packets from Germany

Lately I've got alot of mail from Germany!

The first packet for WISH LIST SWAP:

I got a magazine, two small note books, washi tapes and chocolates. I would lie if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed..For example, those chocolates can be bought in Finland!

This packet came from my private swap partner.

 She sent me loads of different air mail envelopes!!  :*:・(￣∀￣)・:*:

 As an extra I got air mail labels from South Africa(how cool!) and Germany. I really like those South African labels and I think they're beautiful:)

This came from my "Unwanted flat things" -swap partner. A lot of stuff, although I'm not sure whether I'll have use to them. I was excited for those gel pens, but it turned out they're not working! So sad!

To my "Small Make-up Samples Swap"-partners to SRI LANKA and Malaysia. It's my first time to send mail to Sri Lanka, I hope the parcel arrives safely to my partner..

My first letter to a Russian girl. We'll see how many weeks it takes before she finally receives my letter, as the mail to Russia can take up to one month!! It's crazy considering Russia is just the next door..

 To China. I sent this letter already a long time ago, but I've forgotten to post a photo. Envelope is self-made once again =]

This was waiting for me in the mail box today! Another unexpected parcel, this time from Germany:) The sender was Gittie, who was my swap partner a while ago. I felt really touched she wanted to send me a birthday greeting!!

 She sent me air mail themed things, stickers, and a very beautiful letter! Thank you so much, I'll never forget your kindness and thoughtfulness!

Two chocolate bars swap received after 4 months

I joined "Two chocolate bars swap" back in October 2012. As you can guess, we were supposed to send our partners two chocolate bars! The last day to send out the swap was around mid-November. My partner(from U.S.) did send the swap on time, but I never received it. She kindly promised to re-sent it. She sent it around the beginning of January(I guess) A couple of weeks ago I contacted my partner again, asking whether she had re-sent the swap or not because I hadn't received it yet. She said she had sent it but to this day, I haven't received that packet either. She promised to re-sent the swap one final time. So in total she sent the same swap to me three times!! Crazy!

Finally, today I received a packet from her. It did not include any dates, so I thought it was the 2nd sent packet. I messaged her and sent a picture of the packet, and she said it was the 3rd sent packet. Today I also learned that the very first packet that she sent to me back in November 2012, was sent back to her for some reason. My own suspicion is, that she hadn't attached a custom declaration on the packet, so it might have never got out of the United States? As for the second packet, I have no idea what could have happened to it as for sure I haven't seen it in my mail box! 

This is the most complex swap I have ever taken part in! I'm happy I received the swap finally, although I feel sorry for my partner for she had to spent so much money on the postage :(

I love the chocolates, I've always wanted to try Hershey's!! I want to give big thanks to my swap partner :)

My birthday!!

My birthday is here!!! Today I turn 19 years old! Omg ヽ(￣д￣;)ノ Can you be believe it...? I think I'm still way too child-like (づ￣3￣)づ..:D Anyway~ I got a few days ago a very special little package!! 

It is a packet from Portugal!! At first, I had no idea why it came to me..

 When I saw this sign I could guess it had something to do with my birthday but...I still didn't know why it was sent to me! The sender's address told me that the packet had come from Ana Isabel Morais, who I had a private post card swap with quite a long time ago! It turned out to be that she wanted to remember me on my birthday and sent me a birthday present!! I was so touched that someone did this for me  σ(ＴεＴ；My swap-partner from a long time ago..still remembered me and made such a nice surprise for me *touched*

She sent me a birthday card, other cards, Portugal chocolate and a pin. Thank you so much!!^_^!!

Envelope Frenzy from The Netherlands.

This is the greatest envelope I've ever received!! So amazing mail art~ I could have given her 5+♥ only for this envelope, that's how much I liked it :))

 Even the contents were amazing. I loved all the envelopes she sent for me -- especially the handmade! And look how special envie she sent me; an envelope made out of a milk can!!

She also sent me stamps as an extra. For once I get other than the bulb stamp from The Netherlands, yay!! (For every single mail I've gotten from The Netherlands, there has been the bulb stamp on it. I already started wondering whether it's the only stamp available in The Netherlands :D)
